Yesterday I checked my reports and noticed that my aggregate report was inconsistent with my channel data. It just wasn't adding up. I have channels for all my prominent ad placements but a lot of clicks were coming from different placements. I decided that I'd send a quick email to Google expressing my concerns as I was worried the clicks may have been fraudulent. Here is a snippet taken from their response: I wasn't aware of this fact prior to this email so I thought I'd share it here. Although it is always better to be safe than sorry, do not be too concerned about inconsistencies as they are indeed common.
Definitely good to know. I don't add everything up to check it 100% of the time, but when I do, it drives me nuts if I can't figure out inconsistencies.
Whew! I've been noticing the same thing and was fixin to send an email to Google asking that very question..
I had a very small website, with a couple of bad quality articles. I just wanted to do a little test with it. After I finished the test, I deleted the website and parked the domain name. And here's the strange thing: my adsense account was being credited a $0.20-$0.30 every day. This went on for a couple of months, until I received my first $100 cheque from Google. Using copyscape.com I checked to see if anyone stole my content and use my adsense ads by mistake. Did not found any content. That is when I decided to seriously start making adsense websites. I was basically making money with no work
