People, can anyone explain why there is such a price range between different hosters? For example, I see the price of Hostgator is $9.95 monthly and Hostmonster is only $6.95 ($3.95) for the same terms ot at least I couldn't see the difference in servicies they provide. So why is the price so different? And what company is better of this 2, on your opinion?

For the same reasons that different types of cars cost different prices even though the all have four wheels, an engine, and a drivers seat.

Different quality, different systems in place, different specification of servers and networks, different levels of staffing, different levels of expertise, different cost base, different profit margins..the list goes on.

I doubt any one host has exactly the same set-up as any other host. Everything will be different except the front-end services that you are seeing the host packaging together into a hosting plan - which can vary enourmously in quality, ease-of-use, speed, and reliability.

The difficulty you have is that you are unable to make a true judgement on the quality or rigour of any of these systems because there isn't enough information available: and even if it was you may still be no better off in being able to make the "right" decision.

The thing is same in the end which is hosting.
Back to your question, there still a lot of company is better than those two.
Pricing is only a marketing technique to get client.

The differences are all about one things VALUE.

VALUE can contain a lot of different factors, from support, service, performance of the servers, network, uptime, etc., and of course overselling.

When you see the real cheapo stuff more often than not these are newbies that know not what they do and end up going by the way side in a few months.

When comparing hosts, look at everything. Not just price. Look at what you get from the price. Look at what other customers say about them. Look at how long they have been in business. Look at the networks they use, support, uptimes - VALUE!

Different price policy. But that doesn't mean they are different by quality. That can be web hosting service is cheaper but better.
