    running.

Any pets? Bios could be setup to turn system on with simply touching the keyboard, etc. Faulty power supply, few different possibilities.

when you have time go to the Bios setting and turn off "wakeup by LAN" you have a trojen and someone is using your pc while you are not. an IRC Zombi is my guess, but turn off the wake by lan in the bios

then you need to look at your pc process and see what one is the trojen.

While a wakeup by lan is possible, how is a trojan on the host system when off even going to be activated?

Wouldn't it have to somehow be struck from the outside not internally via a trojan? A trojan or something of course could grant access once the system is on, just don't see how when off a trojan is going to wake the system. I have never dealt with them, just doesn't add up to me.

the trojen/irc zombie is doing the work once the pc is turned on from the outside. it can send spam emails once the pc is turned on. the trojen just gets downloaded and then send a message back to the controller with the pc ip# so he can turn it on when he wants to.
