Strange PR behavior

I noticed today my blog main page on one of my sites going down from PR3 to grey bar overnight , and couple other inner pages from PR2-1 to grey bar. Overall the website's main page keeps the same pr and has no penalties or any bad back links or what soever . Have anyone noticed this strange behavior since last PR update , looks like the algo got some new big upgrades and keeping everyone on their toes, not that PR is that important. Just interested .

PR is always in a state of flux and different PR checkers may give different results but the main thing is not to get too hung up on it

PR is just an indicator and doesn't really help your site - the only thing that helps your site is good quality backlinks and getting qualified traffic

Work on those two and PR is a result of that

I noticed the changes too, however I agree, PR is just an indicator and as long as you have good content and good links and traffic keeps coming - don't read too much into the bar color.

    Cheers

You guys must have experienced some residual changes that were left to be done after the major PR update that happened 10 days back.

I see no changes in any of my page on my blog and frankly, 10 days is too short a time period for another major update!

I have several websites, but PR didn't change on any one of them.
