In my twitter-home, I have old tweets (from someone else). Probably they got there by a search or subscription. Any referenece (following / search) have been removed, but those tweets don't go away. My own tweets which were there too, got removed, but can't get rid of the other ones. What can I do ?
Could you provide us with a screenshot? These tweets may come only from people who you follow, retweeted messages by people you follow, tweets from lists & searches and promoted tweets.
That's what I would think too. so, I removed everything, even my own tweets. No following / f o l l o w e r s / searches / lists remain, only those silly old tweets dated october 2011 ! See screenshot attached Thx
Even that doesn't work ! They're still there (in different browsers and other apps) in H o m e and in Timeline.
I did, and this is the answer I got : Unfollowing a user is not retroactive, meaning those Tweets will not be removed from your timeline, but you will no longer continue to receive updates from that user. Cheers, alb Twitter Support Code (markup): I'm not a Twitter guru, but can't imagine they need to stay forever. I seem to remember that I added/removed recently someone, those tweets didn't remain in home/timeline. If this is "as designed" I really have my thoughts about it.
That is strange. When I unfollow someone, all their tweets usually disappear. from my timeline (when I refresh the page).
