Strange message

I tried to access my website today, but got this message:

"Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress."

I also got this message (without the wordpress) in the middle of installing mods yesterday to another website on same server, but with another script.

Any ideas what this can be?

This is because MySQL support not enabled with your PHP intallation. You need to enable MySQL support in PHP.

That might be possible your host has upgraded PHP but didn't enabled MySQL for that.

Did you solve your problem? What was the reason behind this issue?

Hi! I solved the problem...Well, it solved itself. It was something with the host actually - a problem with the apache.
