"xxx"ed word is the same word (my domain)

When you search like "site:domain.com domain", it returns with much more results than searching "site:domain.com"

    why is that?

It's quite normal, you are asking google to:
    - first retrieve all url with xxx.org inside.
    - then retrieve all url with xxx.org and/or xxx, it is normal that the result might be multiplicative.

Try it with site:google.com google, same thing happens
