Hello all, I am an adsense publisher and today i received the below email from google dfp - i do not even use Google DFP and have no idea what is going on. anybody seen such an email before and how to resolve it ? I've reached out to adsense customer support but till i get something meaningful from them i'm hoping to hear from other people's experiences. Googling any content of this email returns absolutely nothing....any help appreciated. Dear Customer, It has come to our attention that certain tags related to your account are passing email addresses to DoubleClick. Passing email addresses to DoubleClick puts you in breach of this obligation. We ask that you give this matter your immediate attention. You are required to achieve compliance with the requirements of your contract within 30 days. Regards, The DFP Small Business Team
Looks like 'Phishing' as note they address you as 'Customer' and do not use your name. Also if you don't use DFP then that's another reason to ignore it!
I doubt it's phishing, it comes from a valid google email address and they mention my site in the email.
Well anyone can send out email from any another email... I mean like there is tools for that. Simply they might be masking their email as another one (in this case Google - for example I can send you an email from if I knew your email). Also domain names could be found through various whois services.
i think google need more review about your account, just login to your adsense dashboard and see what you have to resolve.
Yes but as others have said the email wouldn't be hard to cloak, and no offence but they could have found your website on google/any other search engine. I could email any website owner and mention their site, so the fact they're mentioning the site just ads credibility to what is probably phishing. I've had this before with supposed paypal emails mentioning my sites that have no paypal running on them....
I really appreciate your concern, but can we please stick to the original topic. It's not a phishing email. If anybody has info about the ORIGINAL post I would appreciate any feedback.
