I just done a search for “europa casino” in google.co.uk and came across this page : europacasinò.com which is ranking second on SERP.

When you scroll over or visit the link it takes you to: xn--europacasin-oeb.com

All looks very strange to me. Is it possible to buy a domain with this “ò” , or is there something else happening that I don’t know?

    Thanks

When you use characters that are UNICODE and are not ASCII such as anything with an accent the site becomes xn--site ant the letter is replaced with a code. So the accented o becomes oeb. It is for protection since some letters look like normal ones but are not and also because the original design for sites did not allow non-ASCII characters.
