Since there are people from all over the world here, we might share our customs that we only see in our country.
This is not a customs thing, but it's strange
In Spanish language when we said something negative, for example John know nothing we deny 2 times
    We say:
John doesn't know nothing, and it's right in our language!

In English the plural of ox is oxen
This comes from the Old English roots of Modern English

Under English law the criminal has more rights than the victim (or so it seems).
We also apologise when someone carelessly walks into us and think a cup of tea solves every problem. Whenever we are stuck for conversation we can always rely on the weather as a talking point.

The crimminal does not have more rights. The accussed has a right to a fair trial.

Yes bogart. I can tell my dry wit was wasted.
Here's another one: In England we let Scottish MPs vote on English only issues whereas English MPs can not vote on Scottish only issues. A good time to emmigrate I think.

In my country (Chile) we say "Thanks" for everything, even when we pay for something (a taxi, bus, food, etc.)

That's good manners and it's commendable. We do that too.

In some countries you don't say Thanks for everything, and it's normal there.

Strange custom in the United States:
