Hello Yesterday i started a campaign! i put a bid of 0.15 and the ctr of the campaign was low (0.35%)! the score of my landing page was 6 suddenly the minimum bid for first page appearance went to 0.20 . I put the maximum bid to 0.20 the ctr became higher (up to 1%). and the landing page score increased (7/10) and suddenly today the minimum bid for first page appearance went to 0.70 :S it doesn't make sense at all.. any idea why this happens?
Probably because at first Google is testing your ad to gather information on its performance in terms of CTR and then compare it to other similar advertisers. If your CTR is significantly lower than your competitors then your min bid will go up. Your QS score may vary for a number of reasons but it should stabalise fairly quickly.
that makes sense but what if i tell you that i am the only advertiser for the keywords i promote?:O who is the competitors we are talking about?
If that's the case then Google would probably use some formula or set of rules to determine what you pay in the absence of competition. It could include past bidders in your keyword. More information RE what keywords you are bidding on, a link to your landing page and possibly your CTR would be required to give an explanation.
Are you sure that you are the only advertiser? Maybe you are let's say targeting USA and you are not using the google.com domain so you can't see your competition.
Google will be looking at every time that keyword has ever been used. Lack of competition now could just be they got slapped and gave up.
yeap i suppose that something like this happened. i am the only competitor for the keyword, i ve tested the ads preview tool. anyway.. after much efforts, and after spliting my keywords and ad variations, it seems it is getting much better. so i am very happy (especially if other competitors gave up with this)
