Hi I'm curious as to why I get much more organic traffic (searches from google) during weekends and not weekdays?

Hope some of you SEO gurus can help.

    Thank you

I on the other hand get the lowest organic traffic on the week ends. It all depends on your site Niche. Some sites get more traffic on weekdays where others get more on weekends.

Its very common. It depends on user's Search behavior. Like on weekends people on holidays search for your Niche related keywords while they may not be performing search on weekdays(due to busy schedule or lack or time or something else) and the other way round. In short its users behavior.

hmm that's weird though, i assume there would be more searches during the 5 days than the 2 days from the weekend

Yep, our traffic works the other way for us. It is all about user behavior and lifestyle. If you have a B2B site your traffic will likely drop off on weekends and soar on Mondays!

I assume if your keyword ranking position remains the same during weekends, then the increase must be from surge in search volume for that keywords.

Think logically. Because more people use google and internet during weekends. My website have also more google search traffic during weekends.

I don't think it has anything to do with niche.. Rather it's peoples behavior.. I would think on weekdays they might be busy working and don't have time to do research... On weekends there is more free time and they would have to do research...

Of course I'm assuming it's a consumer related keywords (mortgages, car loans, etc.)...
