Hi everybody I just played around with my ad colors and placement and noticed a few strange things. There are 2 ads on all my pages http://www.flashmavi.com/wushu_jumps_aerial_twist_tutorial.shtml One in the middle and one at the bottom. The leaderboads at the bottom used to be on top. But now i moved it down to the bottom and the ctr of this ad is now more than 10 times higher And also... I switched to standard google palettes, but it looks like google auto-dedects your link and text colors if you choose the standard palette and adjusts your ad colors perfectly. Did anybody know that So... Since I moved the leaderboard down to the bottom and the CTR is so high now. What do you think I should do with the the 336x280? I mean the CTR of the leaderboad is really 10 times higher than the 336x280. Any recommendations? Maybe add more spacing, don't align it with the text, use a sponsored link label? Nothing over the fold seems to perform good on this site. Regards Martin
Heh, I had a top-left ad on every page, in a supposed 'hot spot'. It was picking up about $20 a month, which is great, but with a really really low CTR. I've put a slightly larger ad on the bottom right of about 1/3 of my pages and already this one is earning more than the top left ever did. You could try a wide link unit where you have that ad now, perhaps? Link units perform surprisingly well ...
