Strange About My AdSense Revenue From DP.

Discussion in 'Reporting & Stats' started by geoiss2004, Oct 9, 2006.

I have my AdSense ads only in DP. Not in any other sites.

    1. Sometime ago, I had 5 clicks and a revenue of 1.95 bucks (i.e. 39 cents/ click).

    Today I have 50 clicks, but a revenue of 4.96 bucks only (i.e. 10 cents/ click).

Whats the logic behind this ?

    2. Whats "Smart Pricing" in AdSense ?

    3. Is the No. 1 above due to "Smart Pricing" ?

    Thanks.

If some of the 50 clicks were by the same persons, Google may have zeroed them out.

The CPM changes everyday..And different keywords have different CPM..
The Adsense ad on dp is on the top right corner ,sometimes you could see it in the thread which you are viewing.

do not click by yourself. otherwise, google will disable your adsense program as my friend had such experience.

it may be smart pricing, it may not be. my guess is that it isn't.

the topics on digitalpoint vary quite a bit. the ads in the optigold forum will get very different EPCs than the ads in the PHP help forum, for example. it varies between individual threads as well.

beyond all this, fluctuation is normal. sometimes people bid less after realizing they're not getting an ROI.

you cant click your own ads on DP, because your own ads will never show on pages you visit (if you are logged in of course)

The revenue share is 50/50. My understanding is you get 100% of the revenue half the time instead of 50/50 of all ads.

How does google know you are clicking on your own ads?

your own ads will not be served... assuming you're logged in.
