Stopping WP creating pages like page 1, 2 and 3 etc?

    Hey Everyone,

    Strange request I know, but I'm trying to create a blog which posts always remain on the first page.

    For instance wordpress will normally let 5 pages remain on the first page before they spill over to the second page and so on.

    Does anybody know how to manually over ride this?

    you can increase no. of posts to show on home page in setting section.

    You mean it's an option in WP admin, any idea where it is?

    It is on "Settings" then "Readings" You will have an option, like: Blog pages show at most:

    Type any number you like.

    Make the 5 posts "stickies", right above the Publish/Upgrade button there's several edit links.

    Then go to Settings/Reading and change the default "show 10 posts" to 5. While you're there you can also change your RSS feeds to summaries rather then full posts.

    Or you could set it as a static homepage by creating a page for the "posts" then going to Settings/Reading and selecting the page as your homepage.
