Stopping spam in phpbb?

    One of the forums I manage is being plagued with spam to the point it is making the site unusable.

    How can I stop people spamming? All of the functions within the phpbb code are not helping. The spammers keep registering accounts and trying to post links.

    Simply add good security questions and captura and it will stop.
