    Anybody had dealings with stopbadware.org?
Basically it browses sites and if they see a threat they flag it to google resulting in your site being listed as dangerous - thus you lose a shizzle load of traffic.

Well a week or so ago along with a couple of other sites I was somehow hacked and infected with advancedxpdefender a virus that makes users download some rubbish.

I worked diligently with my webhost to get rid of the problem and it has been fine for a few weeks, unfortunately during that time my site was listed as mentioned above (that's fair enough, there was a virus on my site).

After multiple checks and being certain we sorted it out I requested a review from stopbadware to get rid of the traffic killing warning.

Took them ages but they responded - after re-reviewing they say my paypopup.com code is dangerous and 3rd parties could could alter what comes up and inject code etc - well bloody duhhh! But have they not considered that paypopup screens what goes through the ad network? Thousands of sites use paypopup and haven't been flagged but because of the previous virus they decide to do me for this as well

What gives them the right? My livelihood is at stake here.

The problem being they haven't instructed google that my site is clean of the virus. It still says this:
    http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://wrestlingtruth.com/
Yet all the issue is now is paypopup and I can't remove it - that's a good portion of my income.

    My site is freaking clean!

anyone know what to do? Maybe contact google directly? Maybe comply then add the code back later?

You are mistaken they do not set or clear the warning on google. They simply help you troubleshoot your page.

    From their site:
If you think your fine then file for a reinclusion request on your own. If you would rather have their blessing then do as they say... get their ok.. then once the message is cleared put your code back.

Your right, I went over their heads to google and they removed the ban within a few hours!
    I'm actually quite amazed.
