We have wasted enough time thinking for niche. But, now, I have come to know one fact that we can earn a huge amount even if the niche is weak and Traffic is huge. So, traffic is the most important factor. Listen Newbie, Niche's Era has ended now. Think to create a content rich website to get a huge traffic. **Correct me, if I am wrong**
I don't think that the niche era has ended yet. I have to agree with Abhik. I've watched a new niche that I've been developing the last little while grow considerable from 25 visitors 4 months ago to where I think the site will generate over 2,000 visitors if the traffic numbers continue to rise like they look like they will be. Now, this site while in a niche, is also being built with very unique content which I've taken the task of writing myself each evening, and have used alot of the techniques I've read about here on DP to optimize for keywords, SEO etc. My biggest problems is now getting some strong backlinks to the site but I am comfortable with being rainked number 1 in some key word areas and in the first 10 positions in others because I'm slowly learning from here at DP and by reading how to be #1 in all my areas. So is the niche era over? not by a long shot ... at least that's my opinion.
Good advice I am sick of people saying this "please tell me high paying adsense nice" over and over and over... People just need to make sites which they have a interest in as it drives you to make new content daily you actually want to check up on things ect ect. I admit when I was a newbie I actually started trying this whole making sites about high paying niches, but ever since I got onto making sites about things I like and people I like its really got better for me. Niches can still be good to make sites on but have some knowledge on the area first just don't make it for the MONEY or you will fail 99% of the time.
traffics is important but you can't says niche is not important.. these two things are playing an important part to get adsense income.. so, be fair.. get your niche and generate high traffics..
Connections, I've noticed that as well. People will jump in and say "what's your niche" or "what keywords are you using". The new site that I'm building is very informational, I've seen many people have bookmarked the site, and they are also returning to visit. Plus, the feedback that I'm getting tells me that I've started building a resource that people are using. There was nothing quick about the little bit of success that I'm seeing, it was and still is, alot of hard work. Coming from a strictly programming and technical background, I rarely utilized the business side of my degree, other than to setup and run my brick & mortar businesses and to understand the financial side of things. Now seeing how I can use the many soft skills that I had developed these last 25 years, and now put alot of things into practice, and to learn more about this exciting world that I've discovered, I feel invigorated once again to build something that not only I can be proud of, but that others will actually use as a resource that contains meaningful information!
if yuo are interested in making decent income, then you must need a good niche. just traffic isn;t enough. look at those proxy, arcade, or myspace resource sites. they get ton of traffic but how much they make? almost don't worth mentioning. for sure there are some exceptional sites that are making good money but on average those sites get boat load of traffic but don;t make much. where on the other hand, site with good paying niche make lot more with lot less traffic that have a good niche. to sum, you not only need traffic but you also need a good niche
ya,i agree on that.. if you see, most of adsense expert always stick on niche adsense.. So, no question anymore about this importance...
I agree! I have tried with various smaller sites and you need a lot of effort and links to get any traffic. Making a big site that is interesting to vast majority of people is much better.
Make a site about something you like = success. Doesn't matter whether its a small niche, or a subject which is huge. If you have passion for it you'll succeed.
I suppose which approach you are going for. You could be trying to get 20 sites making low X a day opposed to fewer sites generating more revenue each day. I have a site getting about 30-50 uniques/day on average and it makes around $5-$10 a day which I'm happy about. I just have to try bump up the traffic and get in ranking well in Google as the traffic only comes from MSN for my keyword. I won't disclose the site either before anyone asks
hmmm... traffic makes all the rules but not with a low paying niche , must be somwhere in the middle , my opinion
sameer4481 its not just about one thing or the other, its about all of it combined, you may be back next week saying its about placement Its a combined effort of everything, traffic of course but how many times do you read of huge traffic too but poor outcome? dont concentrate on one thing only, combine the lot, the content is important too of course. Remember different sites work differently, what works on one website wont work on another all the time.
I agree with pipes. If you want to make good money with Adsense, you need a good niche and traffic. If you have both of these, then success will follow!
