Something that I've noticed recently is that the freebies forum is completely spammed with stumble and digg exchange offers. I dont give a d**n for digg, but this is totally against the spirit of stumbleupon.com. StumbleUpon is a great community which is based on mutual trust and the spirit of sharing. It is not some cheap gimmick to get a couple of visitors to your site. Furthermore, if your content is not good, it's going to be thumbs-downed before you can get a couple of unique-visits, so not only is this foolish but also a total waste of your time. On the other hand, if what your website/blog contains is worthwhile in it's niche, you're are gonna be stumbled in a couple of months. If you have been doing this, there's still time to realize the lameness and complete lack of purpose in this(happened to me too). This is the freebies forum and it is clearly stated in the *sticky that you shouldn't be asking for anything in return. I hope this helps you guys who didn't know about the rules, or dont know how stumbleupon works. 1. I'm open to an infraction - i felt it my duty to help. 2. I'm open to flames. 3. I'm open to support. Take care and save your mouse-clicks for WoW, AnIons
I have to vote for none of the above. Digg is full of spam, Del.icio.us is ugly and I have never heard of StumbleUpon.com before, but that's just my oppinion. /Andreas
You have a good point. Anyway I am not concerned about "stumbles spamming" of DP, the mods can hit down on that if they like. More worse is the spamming of stumbleupon, stumbleupon is nice, but if it get spammed with MFA sites it will get bad.
I wouldn't go as far as saying stumbleupon is a waste of your time to exchange. It gathers 10,000 visitors Plus to my sites a month.
Thats what I said as well. StumbleUpon and DP are the two most used/helpful websites for me. I wouldn't like either to be spammed.
