Stop the far-right rehabilitation in Europe

The nationalistic far-right are becoming popular once again in Europe and they must be stopped.

In Belgium, the most popular political party among the Flemish people (the Flemish Interest party) is far-right, nationalist, anti-immigrant, and anti-Islam.

In Switzerland, the most popular political party, the Swiss People's Party, is far-right, nationalistic, and anti-immigrant. It enjoys the support of 30 percent of the Swiss people.

The far-right nationalist Le Pen was almost elected president in France a few years ago. The only reason he wasn't elected is because he made an extremely convroversial comment just prior to election. If he had kept his mouth shut, we would probably have a fascist scumbag president in Europe right now.

Italy is becoming increasingly far-right. The mayor of Rome is an open fascist. On his recent election, he was greeted by hundreds of people shouting 'Duce! duce!' and giving the fascist salute. The prime minister of Italy styles himself an anti-immigration nationalist. He built his political party by democratising the old fascist party of Italy.

In Austria, the far-right has positioned itself into the political mainstream and banned Mosque construction! The far-right People's Party of Austria (the BNP of Austria) received 42.27% of the vote in 2002!

The British National Party is becoming a mainstream political party in Britain. 60 percent of the British people said they agreed with BNP's chief policies, according to a skynet opinion poll. The BNP is the most popular politicla party in several regions of Britain.

The Netherlands has the anti-Islam, anti-immigrant nationalist Geert Wilders of the People's Party for Freedom, a man infamous for producing the anti-Islam 'Fitna' hate film. He and his party are steadily gaining ground and a recent opinion poll showed that most Dutch people agree with his anti-Islam position.

Then there are the Mohammed cartoon controversies and many other examples of Muslim baiting throughout Europe.

As Europe becomes an extension of the Third World through mass immigration, and the culture of Europe becomes justly phased out of existence, the native people of Europe are responding by becoming increasingly nationalistic, anti-immigration, and anti-Islam.

There has got to be something we, the Marxist left, can do to put an end to this nonsense.

what can you do when millions of immigrants pour into your country and they kill, rape, steal? Sure, most of them are not criminals and work for an income but the crime rate among immigrants is generally significantly higher than the crime rate among natives. So it's no surprise the natives get pissed off when their wives are raped or killed or they get mugged by an immigrant. The sollution is to stop immigration and to focus on helping the countries where immigrants come from develop their own economy so they don't have to leave for a better life somewhere else. As long as immigrants cause a disproportionate amount of problems those who have a hate message against them will be popular

Europeans are entitled to discuss immigration in to their countries and they are entitled to oppose a religion. If people don't like it they know what they can do.

If 60% of the British supported the BNP then I guess they will get voted in at the next general election, which I highly doubt those stats are just wrong.

Also what is wrong about people being Anti-Islam?

In the House of Lords they even debate things which Christians may oppose or even dislike, the blasphemy law for example it’s called "opinion" & expressing that opinion is "freedom of expression".

"When they came for the gypsies, I did not speak, for I am not a gypsy.

When they came for the Jews, I did not speak, because I wasn’t a Jew.

When they came for the Catholics, I did not speak, for I am not a
    Catholic.

And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak."

We in the west are reaping the rewards of colonialism. The answer is not Le Pen & Co., though the answer is also not:

What the hell is that? Europe is rightly proud of its cultural achievement, stretching back millenia, and its end would be a blight on the world as much as the loss of any great culture. Care to explain?

Edit: Rebecca, see you beat me to it!

I wonder where the anti-immigration sentiment is coming from! If the alternative is Marxism and the abolition of western culture, you better believe people are going to cling to their beliefs and line up behind whichever megalomaniac promises to save them.

Anyway, history tends to rhyme in these predictable little 80 year cycles. Extremism & nationalism are rising, but they can't be stopped by more extremism in the anti-nationalist sense.

I'll try to be as short as I can

Let's destroy their right to an opinion

As you (don't ) know Belgium is made out of different nations an Flanders has it's right to opinion

How dare they have a political freedom!

Le Pen was there only to assure victory to his rival,or you really think French have balls to make Le Pen president?

LOL,Anyways your solution instead of "democratising" the fashist party would be to send them to Siberia (Сиби́рь ;)).Long live the Antifascist :(

They are Ultra-liberal party, not far right.

And of course they have reciprocal number of seats in the Parliament

    So?

I know, they do not share the same sense of humor

Every action has reaction.. I know I'm not being original :D

Yes whole bunch of you who live in abandoned building and those students who get their bills payed by mom and dad ,so they can be activists

the Flemish Block got disbanded and forbidden by a court of law for being racist. They started a new party, with a new name the Flemish Interest party

the Swiss People's Party is proposing a scheme to deport immigrant families if their children are convicted of a violent crime, drug offences or benefit fraud. It is similar to the Nazi practice of Sippenhaft, or kin liability, whereby relatives of criminals were held responsible for their crimes and punished equally.
