    Has anyone tried this yet? It seems we have hundreds moaning about spam each week in the phpLinkBid support centre yet many are unwilling to install a simple mod that should prevent it ;)

    No. I only made it for 1.4 seen as most people are running that version. Its the only stable release, you really should upgrade to take advantage of the new features.

    You have two, right? $25? How does that sound?

    I found that by blocking ips of the spammers have helped me alot ,in .htaccess file type
    Blocked IP addresses by 'yournameorder allow,denydeny from ipnumberdeny fromipnumberdeny frometc
    takes a while but at least it is long term solution ,generally same people are spamming and they will eventually run out of ips :)

    You have to pay to upgrade though I believe. I am using 1.4.2 and am happy with it.

    Is the phplinkbid forum DEAD? It has been down for days...
