Stolen content from Netherland host and owner

I filed DCMA complaints with a hosting company in the Netherlands.

A website has stolen some of my content, and content from several other authors. My content is less than 1% of their website, but the remainder is stolen from a variety of other websites.

The content thief website owner is an AdWords client, and displays AdSense.

I am not getting any response or action of the host in the Netherlands.

    Any recourse?

Well seeing as the DMCA is an American law I wouldn't expect to get any response from a company in the Netherlands.

With that said you can file a DMCA with Google to get the offending content out of the SERPS but that's it.

There's not much you can do......contact adsense and let them know that he has not only stolen yours but other people's content too.

Whatever course of action that you take, document everything. You may want to inform others that their content has been lifted too as there is power in numbers when it comes to complaints.

This sort of thing really annoys me. It's almost like when running a website you can't do anything to protect your content, its like been forced to park your unlocked car outside with the keys in the ignition and your at the mercy of other peoples scrupels...

Contact the scum and tell them to take your content off otherwise you'll have them in bother... I do believe Google / Adsense may be able to help if somebody has stolen your content I once heard somebody else say...

File DMCA takedown orders with MSN, Yahoo, Google Search & AdSense. The alleged infringer has "no choice" but to file a counter-claim (and risk penalty under perjury). By becoming an AdSense Publisher they 'pre-acknowledged that they are the rightful owner of all content where they place ads'. Should they not file a counter-claim you are entitled to their share of AdSense revenue (likely a pretty lame amount but possibly something). For repeat offenders they will likely lose all future access to AdSense.

Ensure you double check all your DMCA filed work for accuracy.

    Does AdSense really care?

The website owner & host still haven't responded. No surprise, there. The email on the website itself is phony.

Wow! That is good news. I haven't heard too many success stories over the years concerning the deletion of stolen content, so I'll keep that in mind when it happens to me again. Congratulations!
