I've come across a site that has swiped one of my articles without a link back....o.k. I can probably live with that. I did have it distributed and thats life. The thing that is getting me is that this site promotes these Authors as writing these articles as their own, not just simply publishing it but having a stable of so called Authors with bios and such. I sent a request to remove my article but of course I've gotten no response. It's just ill. I guess I shouldn't give a rats since the article is on hundreds of sites acreditted to my name and with links to my site... Should I pursue this any further?
This happens to me all the time. So far I haven't done anything because the sites doing it are crappy, probably auto-generated, and not maintained. If it gets serious, with a specific site, you could probably get the site shut down for violating terms (googles, ezinearticles, yours, etc). Maybe post about the site at a webmaster forum and get a mob together...
Something similar happened to me also. I finally got my links there see this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=86475
I sent a polite email asking them to remove my article or give a link and have had no response. I'm gonna mull it over. Definitely an auto generated site. The guy has swiped tons of articles w/no links back. I got the who is info. I thought about outing the site....we'll see... Congrats on your victory Rosiee
That's the secret! Start bad mouthing their site on all the webmaster forums and maybe the owner will show up and fix everything!
Dont just let it go even if it is a bad site they are stealing your content... and making it less valuable... contact them and ask to ad link give credit or remove article
Write and ask them to add your link. when submitting your articles, add your copyrighting notice. This is an e.g : "you have my permission to reprint this article in your newsletter or on your web site provided you leave the resource box intact." Fredy DEMONLE
To prove that those articles are yours I would suggest to timestamp them before publishing. We use digistamp.com and surety.com to timestamp our materials.
