    Hi

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced sites that allow you to use the photos/images for use in templates for resale?

(BigStock) charge around £79 for an Extended License and (Dreamstime) on the few I looked at it was 50 credits.

I need something much more affordable.

    Would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks

    Dee :)

Not sure if IStockPhoto has what you need? That's who I use.

Look for creative commons sites. Then look for photos licensed (for free) for commercial use. Some may be free for personal use and reasonable for commercial use.

What search term do you use to find these sites?

I looked at istockphoto but with a regular license it says this:

Electronic templates for resale on websites, brochures, business cards, e-greeting cards, etc. No

    The Extended License says:

    Electronic items for resale
    (unlimited run) 125 credits

    So that rules them out.

I contacted BisStock and they stated that their licences changed in June and you can no longer use any image/photo in a template for resale unless you purchase and Extended License - I looked at a couple of photos and clicked on the Extended License and it was £79. Don't get me wrong from the photographers point of view I get it, I really do but as my plan is to do quite a few templates, so I couldn't afford those prices.

Any links to CC sites or reasonably priced sites that allow commercial use would be greatfully appreciated :)

Not gonna lie. It's my stock photography database but we charge just $100 for one year's membership which entitles you to UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS.

You can also buy individual photos as a free member for $1.50

We only have a few hundred photos at the moment but are BRAND SPANKING new but are adding 50 or so a day and we anticipate having nearly 1000 within a week.

We also offer a 'Request an Image' service if you are looking for something specific.

    Let me know.

Since you will be selling a product where the images are the main part of this product, it will be very hard to find cheaper rates.
The only alternative is to contact photographers directly and offer to share a part of your income from these templates.

    Hi Crutchy

Thanks for the link, I took a look at your site and unfortunately non of the images were what I was looking for at present. I am looking for bridal/wedding images at present.

Hi foto, I see what you are saying and that is an option but I don't really want to have to contact someone everytime to ak permission, I would rather know that I can use the images and pay a fair price upfront.

If anyone has any links to other site, I'd much appreciate it.
