    May this thread last forever.:D

Just some basic tips for starters. I know there are few Stock Market experts here who could add to this thread and help others. Thanks for adding your tips in advance!

    1) If you wake up, turn on the old tube and see news on T.V. that could possibly affect the stock prices what would you do?

I know some or most will run head first giving the stock a big push upwards. I personally sit back and wait until the stock is right
for shorting it and driving it back down. By doing this when the others who ran to purchase the stock at the higher price during the day will have no one to buy it ;)

    (2) Never trade on the market with money that you NEED! (i.e. Rent money, Child support, Super Bowl Party funds ) If you have trouble Leaving casinos you may not want to gamble in the stock market. You can always use ShareBuilder-ING Direct promo codes. Some promotional codes range from $20-$50 and you can find them HERE. (You will have to fund your Sharebuilder | Ing Direct account in order to get the $50 bonus.)

(3)Pay close attention to the risk to reward ratio. Look for stock trades that give you a decent return. No matter how tempting stay away from the poor risk to reward ratios. If the return isn't decent then it's not worth the risk.

    (4) If you're in a trade and the odds are against you....Bail! The longer you wait, hoping that the ball will be back in your court, the more money you may lose. Not to mention it may be hard for you to sell.

These are some basic tips for staying SAFE in the stock market.
Although the reward can be GREAT it is highly risky!
