Stock image resources

    Ok now many web designers use stock images for their designs. I myself have used many a stock image ie using a image of a server for a hosting company.. however certian stock images are better than others and some are free.. Where is the best place to get stock images that are 100% free? places like stockexchange are no good really

    Why? They have a free section, don't they? Dreamstime.com and BigStockPhoto have extensive free collections.

    However - stock images are cheap. You can get really good images for $1(US) each at any of the major stock image sites. That's a bargain!

    The most important thing for me is finding what I am looking for. When I have to rummage through pages of free images and waste hours of my time better spent; then the images are not free. Depending on what you are using the image/s for, you have to factor in a time value. Especially if you are getting paid for you time...That being said, I just use Istock.

    Most of the sites already mentioned offer a selection of images completely free, if that's what you mean.
