Stock illustration site - question about picture usages

    Hello,

Looking for reviews of www.stock.inkart.net. It has done pretty well in the past - a few sales a week - but since undergoing a major redesign (removed a clunky navigation structure, replaced most of the graphics and moves towards CSS based formatting) it has started to tank.

My question is about how images are used. In an average page like this:

    http://stock.inkart.net/reptiles/snakes/burmese_python.php

The two pictures and enlargement pop ups are actually taken from other sites of mine, but are still part of the base domain - inkart.net and wildlife-artworks.com which is an add-on domain. Should this matter? Would the search engines think I'm 'stealing' from another site? Would they see this as spamming? I was trying to be effiencient and not have duplicate images everywhere.

It could be just a downturn in the market I suppose. But www.inkart.net has a PR5 last I checked but has seen a massive downturn in hits (from about 1.5K to just a couple hundred per day.)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

dont use same content on both sites. rather redirect one site to another site.

SE dont read pictures so can't judge if it is stolen or not, but can judge your textual content.

i dont think this change can effect your traffic in this fast way. did you lost some valuable link back to your website, or it is some thing artificial wait for some time and position will be back.

    Thank you for your reply.

Ok, I think that's what I'm doing. I don't have multiple pictures but rather just one picture that is linked to the other sites.

It must be something like that. I was suprised to learn that www.inkart.net had recently gotten a PR5, but about 1-2 months ago the hits went down dramatically. Who knows I guess?

I just checked - stock.inkart.net has a PR0 for some reason. It has been a solid PR3 for years. I wonder why it would change like that?

Maybe where you list the names actually use a thumbnail of the animals and use maybe more than one page since you wont have enough room.
