Still no PR but a great deal in the index??? any ideas?

Not sure why but my site seems to have a great deal of pages indexed and I have a robots file and sitemap and yet no PR

Any ideas what would cause this?

PR is mainly based on backlinks.So build backlinks so you will get good PR.

Perhaps it was penalized for one reason or another.

 

Your website has PR0. I saw your website and there is very little text. I can see Google adsense also showing PSA on some of your pages. I would suggest you to have more text in your website and more link building.

Your on-site optimization is more important than your PR is. Search for the word "Wholesale Distributor" and you'll see that the #1 result is a 0 PR site. Why? Because of good on-site optimization.

 

example my main keyword is morpg and top morpg and ranked 1-2 for them

 

Build strong backlinks for your site and wait till the next PR update.

 

It simply doesn't matter. Basically, if you have no Pagerank Google is telling you that (in their opinion) your website sucks.

 

Unless of course it's a new site.

 

Thats kinda funny. Being its a site with over 10,000 sites referring
more then 16,000 uniques a month and grows by amount 1-2k a month.

not a new site.

Lost PR when i did the SEO on the site making SEO friendly links.
Prior to that I had at least PR 2-3 on most pages.

OMG. You can get PR off just ONE BACKLINK from a high PR website. That's why some websites have a PR 5 or more simply by "buying" 2 or 3 backlinks. Will that help out their position in the search engines? Probably not.

 

as update still no pr and more backlinks showing to the site from high and low pr sites.

im lost on this one.

google indexes faster than you can imagine.

 

I agree, indexing is amazingly fast! That said, it is also amazing how much bandwidth it eats up. Anyone else notice that?

Only way to increase PR, Through Backlinks, I have experienced with that.

 

Make sure when you have changes your URL's to an SEO Friendly URL's that you have redirected the old URL's to it's new destinations using L301 redirections...

Other wise the PR values of those old pages won't be passed to the new ones

 

thing is this site has been running this same way for a while and no pr. many links listed, back links shown.

However new sites I have put up already have a starting pr.

Its kinda crazy and im really lost at whats going on with it.
