Hello Friends! I am back after two years, I would like to know from you guys. Still link-building is working? or total harmful for the website.
Internet is based on links, so obviously linkbuilding is one of the most effective SEO technique. Just quality backlinks can boost SEO strategy. The question is how to get natural quality backlinks. There are a lot of methods, but in my opinion, creating original high quality content is the most effective way of natural linkbuilding.
Of Course Yes. Search Engine Optimization is completely based on the web links. Whether it is your domain's or back link which you have submitted on the Web or Article Directory. But Yes it is become tough after Google's last update. Your Backlinks should be valuable I mean from where your backlinks comes it must have Good PR and high Searches.
Actually, I don't think that submission to directories has reason any more. Besides, nowaday PR is not the main characteristic that define quality of backlink. DA and Trust Flow are more valuable. I think frequently updated content, guest blogging, writing articles for wikipedia, sharing links in social media are more effective.
Actually at some stage you are right, but PR surely matters for Back Links, because if you seen that there are many spammers who are registered their own domains and submit content in it for a month or a year then it expired, after few days when you will see that back link you can see expired domain.!! So PR is still matters a lot as far as I have experienced.
Linkbbuilding still works better than any other metric. It helps to have good content, of course. But you can still rank medium quality content just through links. The typical link profile has changed. You'll need high quality diversified (anchor text, directory, guest posts + the lot). Everything still works as normal... it just need to look natural.
The methods mentioned in the article will not give "juicy links". They are effective as additional methods, but if the goal is to increase page rank backlinks (natural or paid) must have.
Yes it is still working, but you should have to do high quality activities for creating backlinks like (Doc Sharing, Infograph Making, Froums).
Yes, link building is still working.... but on-page optimizing is also too effective, if you have done proper on-page optimization, then you may not need to build too many links.
Forum links are considered by Google as spam and don't have any influence on ranking. The same thing with infographic, use no-follow links in infographics and widgets in order to not be penalized.
I wouldn't write off forum-based links. They still can bring traffic to your site, which in itself influences your ranking. Linkbuilding still is important and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
Link building is still an integral part to SEO, and always will be. It's just an everchanging game. WebDev
Yes I agree that forum links can bring some traffic, I mean that they don't impact to ranking itself.
I'm also experiencing the same as there is no change in positions after all getting links from various high pr sites. what to do now???
Well what do you mean by "still" useful? This is the only working strategy that makes what your site rank top esp. on Google.
Link building still works to an extent. Mind that google has became more strict as to the quality of the links pointing to your sites. Those days of getting bulk links are long over, unless you want to risk it for the short term gain, but eventually you will get penalized. natural linking still has some good value ( eg. some1 quoting your blog with a link back or referring to an article you made ). I would focus more on getting social networking links ( natural links of course ) as it seems google is liking such links.
