I really don't believe success comes from any stats at all. I say this because email is just a part of what a business is. The people that are having success in email marketing are people that have connected with people and know where they hang out. They have done the research to find multiple traffic sources that, over time have converted into sales and they build those places out. Hardly anybody, especially people that are new to online marketing should ever go by what other people, that have found and built out their traffic sources out, are having success in. They need to start their foundation and build up what works for them. Then work on improving their email responses. I think it is about having all the pieces in place that allows people to honestly provide great service, worldwide to an audience that connects and enjoys what the marketer shares in their business. Then email marketing can be powerful for sure.
