    yes, and you must make some original articles.I 'v got two websites to list on dmoz. One was listed within 2 weeks, and another in half of year.

    DMOZ has millions of sites waiting to be approved these days...with probably more than half being rubbish... and editors treat some categories with more attention than the others (as they are voluntiers and have a choice to edit what they understand or like more).. You could wait years to be approved if your category is the one with minimal amount of editors..

    If you are getting enough traffic and best monetizing of your site, why should bother about DMOZE listing?
