Nice, you know.. haggard is as a haggard does.. but..

Unfortunately, the way dawkins comes off and handled this 'conversation' was quite a let down.

Not saying haggard wasn't all of that too...but...

Problem is you can't push or prove solid points with some one (like haggard) in an 'argument' if you scoop to their level (or below it) or can't maintain yourself on a level that appears to be 'above' it (them).

Between the both of them dawkins allowed it to become (and apparently wanted it to be) a 'i know more than you' situation where haggard arguably sounded 'better' at the end as a result of pointing that out.

Given the same opportunity, i would've handled this quite a bit differently, and it never would have reached such a childish level.

How you handle people like haggard is, backing them into a logic-based intellectual corner (combination), (not ego-flaunting). If done properly, the last thing they (haggard) will have left is a statement along the lines of 'humans cannot think on such a (high) level' (based on what they believe) - You don't actually have to 'know everything' to pull this off.

The end result of dawkins getting kicked off the property. Wasn't so surprising (predictable) given his approach & attitude, which would've (and did) come off immediately as insulting to them (haggard)

I would've loved to have had this opportunity myself. I can guarantee the end results would've been much more sastisfying.

Why are all Christian clergy men gay? Is being gay allowed in christianity? Haggerd's reasonings are so weak.

I think Dawkins handled the situation well.
Haggard used a straw man to insult Dawkins "belief" of evolution. Although this was done in a subtle manner, Dawkins was right in defending his position and pointing out that Haggard's understanding of evolution is false.

The sad thing is Haggerd thinks he is great. He is only great in his own eyes. Stupid moron!

The only thing he's great at is being a failure. He lost his whole congregation in one fell swoop. A meth dealing male prostitute, what a hell of a way to make an exit.
