http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/271...Large-Hadron-Collider-vital-for-humanity.html Everyone can calm down now.
Honestly I do not need him to tell me that to calm down. It is quite obvious, just some doomsday sayers trying to make some news for themselves.
These are way too complicated for me to understand Nevertheless, I think it's best to leave it to them.
lol If it was a mechanic telling me not to panic about an engine he has seen and worked with many times before, I would feel ok. But when its a scientist talking about 'black holes'..now thats a different thing.
The thing with black holes is that scientist dont know much about them, just in therory. I doubt they know its true nature.
to take that 100 steps further, DP members who don't know jack shat about physics and still give opinions on this matter...
I'll tell you tomorrow In case it wasn't safe, just make sure we all DP'ers end up in the same dimension to keep up the discussion
In my opinion, no-one has 'proper knowledge in this field'. How could they have. Black holes have been observed by some scientists using our primative instruments here on earth. These folk have then started theorising about them, making comments, arguing amongst each other. All of this amounts to educated guess-work. The acutal black holes dont know or care about how much we understand or about what we think are the 'laws of physics'. Scientific assumption could turn out to be very wrong as it has been many times in the past. When reading about black holes, this phrase comes up a lot: "as currently understood". In other words, we are just learning. Jumping in at this learning stage to actually creating a blac hole in this collider seems to be jumping the gun a bit. If I was a scientist, I would leave this project for a few decades yet...
