Step by Step Guide for Search Engine Marketing?

Can any SEO expert tell me the basic steps to drive targeted traffic from Search engines to a newly built online business website.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There is no "set in stone" steps. For a newly built site, you need to add lots of content, and not just any content -- quality content. You could also join a few forums related to your niche, put your site in your signature, and get active. Hope this helps.

 

Since your site is fairly new (and domain new as well, i assume) you'll have to start building authority and you might even wanna consider waiting a year before you really push things on the SEO side. Truth is Google won't give much authority to a new domain too quickly.

However, you can start getting links from high page ranking forums, article sites and using press releases for all the new happenings down at your site to get maximum exposure and such.

I would start at creating niche categories within your sites broad topics. Then optimize each post page for targeted keywords, then social bookmark each page of your site.
