Dear all, Before I go further, I want to highlight this is NOT a cheap referral drop or anything like that, I just want to share how I have become a successful online marketer over the year's in hope of re-installing some motivation too you all. The first thing I did to start my internet campaign was build some rubbish blog that probably 1 in a million people found interesting...as you probably guessed this didn't pan out so well... The Second thing I did was build a blog within a Red Hot Niche and copy all the best articles I could find, thinking surely some people will stick around to read...well the truth is I did retain a few people. Unfortunatly this did not attract type of traffic that filled my wallet with the green stuff. So in truth, attempt number 2 fail. I got very frustrated by this and very dis-heartened. I can understand many would be quite happy to chuck in the white towel and call it quits, after all that work of link building, optimization and no profit to enjoy... Here is all I can say on that Matter - DO NOT CHUCK IN THE TOWEL... After some time I decided to give it one more shot which was probably the best decision of my life. I didn't build a wesite, I didn't build a blog. 1)I signed up with what I thought was a rather attractive affiliate. The appeal was it offered a product at a good price in a non-saturated market and most importantly, had a quality marketing campaign. 2)Signed up with a cheap PPC company, selected what I wanted to get the most targeted traffic at the cheapest price. 3)Uploaded the Referral banner and link code 4)Get traffic to the landing page under my referral code and that's pretty much it. I am not going to say how much I make from a day as that would defiy the point of this. I am also not going to say what the affiliate is and who I advertise with as it's lack of market saturation is one of the biggest reasons for my success. What advice I can share for you: - Take your time, picking your affiliate is crucial. Make sure it is something someone is willing to buy on the internet. - Look at the landing pages, make sure they are trust worthy, not asking for too much and well laid out. - Pick a good PPC company and stick with them. Target your traffic well to the specific product. This is like the life blood of your scheme, without it you will fail. Write down your product and brain storm idea's of what kind of traffic you think will be most likely to invest in your affiliate. - Never give up, always make notes and learn every time something is or is not successful. Why is it not successful? This is very important. I hope that helps. Making money on the internet can be done but it is not the easy work like everyone claims, It took me a lot time to find the affiliate and a long time to choose the right ad campaign. Now I monitor my earnings each day and constantly do analysis of my findings. I dont just work "1 hour per day for $26000 a month" Good Luck I hope you find that useful...
Thanks, this was a refreshing article. I work in marketing for a hosting company and have vicariously learned some tricks of the affiliate trade. Just like with anything: being consistent and learning from your mistakes is key. I really appreciate it that you didn't mention the company you work with. That gave this a legitimacy I get so tired of not seeing.
PPC isn't easy. I agree with you on the affiliate part though. It can be really hard for a newbie to pick an affiliate product. That's were PPC can be quite useful. Though I usually test with 10 articles or so and if I make a sale from one of those, then I ramp it up with niche websites, blogs, forum commenting even PPC direct linking. I look for an affiliate program that I know has value. How do I do that? I read other blogs in the niche and then promote what they do or something similar. I go for products that are specific to a group with mass appeal. Like dating for Christians (not my niche) or weight loss for people with bad knees (not my niche). Well, you get the idea.
Thank you very much for this information, the most important thing is not to surrender, patience, and perseverance And then begin making money online Trust me
