Hey guys. First of all, before choosed my host, I just read everything on the net about it. Pros, contras, that sucks, that great, you know.

BUT! I AM TOTALLY NERVOUS NOW!

I have an account NO MORE than 24hrs at servage, and I just can't access my site! Soo many 404 and the sites stop loading at the half.

    STAY AWAY FROM SERVAGE!!

    Is there any moneyback?

    Fuck!

I don't think you can make Servage responsible for your 404s.

However, I used to have problems with them too. Then I got pissed and told them to move my account to another cluster, or else I would look for another host. They moved my account and it's going good now.

Anyway, I'd suggest Lunarpages. They're way better and the price is about the same.

Now works fine. So, if I have problems just write them to move my account to another cluster?
It's funny. I don't have much money to try another host, so I have to stay with them, for now. Ugh.

Ah yeah, there was 404 errors, but everything was on the place. So, I checked out twice the paths. First, I thought the error was my problem, but it wasn't.

That's what I did, and since then I only have a a very few problems with them every now and then. It was horror at the beginning. It was terribly slow and it continuously failed to connect to MySQL and it threw errors all the time.

I only have one low-traffic website with them though. I guess if you get more traffic there'll be more problems.

Just received a response for my ticket about moving my acc to another cluster. Wrote them some nice words, and "move, or I'll move" :D

So, they told me that my acc will unaccessible up to 24hrs. I don't care, all I want is a simply webhosting for my money.

Anyway, they're crap. In the internet age I want to click-and-use not click-wait-wait-error-wtf?-and-use.

well if your site doesnt actaully use ALL the space and banwidth they specify,
you can get a quality hosting for lower specs (you wont use extra any way).
That way same amount of $ but quality service, and no downtime.

The mistake most buyer makes in hosting is thinking their budget and looking into FAR GREATER future and got trapped by oversellers.

Haha, nicely said. What they don't know is that you'll probably move anyway as soon as it's time to pay again. :p

Anyway, I hope you have more luck this time! (If not, keep mailing them. :D)

And to kaung; I have approx 5 megabytes of data on their servers, and the only person who's try to access my site is ME. (okay, I've asked some questions on netpond, but the uniq numbers for today: 29.

And: Error 404, File not found, page loading stops after a while. Everything works fine (ftp, webdrive, cpanel) except the hosting part.

Yeah, it's their cheap servers. The site I host with them uses Smarty (templating system), and on the old cluster it took up to 1 minute until the site loaded. (Me being the only visitor at this time!)

It wasn't the data transfer that took so long, it was PHP that needed this time to parse the file. Far from acceptable...

For only a 5mb web space requirement you should be able to get a 100mb plan for about $5 a year which is good enogh for what you need.

My money is on my account now, but it's still locked.
However, I've found a great hosting at the Pond. http://www.a1websolutions.com/ which is not oversold.
And you can speak the owener on ICQ too! :)

It was DH not DG. My guess is that DH = dreamhost.
