Please take a look at my bulimia nervosa symptoms site. I have added the code 12 hours ago and GA cannot see it. It still says Tracking Not Installed. I have deleted the site from GA and added it again, added the code again, nothing.. I added another site and GA could see the code on that one.. Strange!

Very strange.. never had this before. I can see the GA tracking code in the source. Is GA still not recognising it?

Yup, still not recognizing it. I checked the robots.txt, .htaccess, everything is okay.

Very strange.. Have you got the site URL entered into GA as http://bulimianervosasymptoms.com/ (ie. without the www.) as I know GA can be a bit fussy about the site URL in the profile settings matching the URL that the tracking code is on now.

    1. Fetch as Googlebot in WMT to see if code appears
    2. GA code should be under <body> tag, your actual placement is for old GA (before </body>). Since is asyncronyous, the new GA code can be placed top of source code.
    3. If still not working try to replace

    with
    I hope helps.

Ideally the asyncronous version of the code should be the last thing in the <head> region.. just before the </head> tag but usually it will work lower down in the code too. I have seen one instance of it not working correctly until it was placed in the <head> though so that would definitely be worth trying.

I did try that yesterday, without success. Now I tried it again, still no success. I have turned on and off the Display Advertiser Support option too, changed the codes ga.src too, without success.

I'm at a loss to explain it then unfortunately. That just about exhausts all of the things that I can see that might have been causing a problem.

Who knows.. maybe it is some sort of problem on their side. As far as I can see, my settings are correct, the google webmasters tool fetches the site with the GA code, everything seems to be correct..

Yes, I'd say that the only explanation left is something wrong at Google's end.
