Status offline / online little bit of help

    Hi i,m creating a site PHP with live chat but i need like a little bit of script i made a bit of the script but then i would have manually edit the config file when i change the Status to offline / online

    so dose any one know were i can find this little function thanks

    We need more info.

    Is the chat script PHP based? Where are the messages stored? Do the users have to log in, in order to chat? Does everyone have an own account?
