I think they need to hire me to produce software that is not buggy a year later. I do feel that my earnings will be back to normal after the update like they always have been. Also for some odd reason I don't think targeting works for me so that can explain the revenue loss.
I agree with this. I have watched that very closely. Also I switched some sites to Google and was getting 10 times the clicks, but the ads that are displayed are basically the same thing as Yahoo. So I am curious to see what this update does tomorrow if anything.
Again, no stats update. I cannot afford to not be able to see my daily income by the next day. Hopefully the update will help take care of this problem.
I think something is going on, my stats have been going down hill. This morning I woke up and it was the worst ever (so far today). Do you guys think it could be a reporting issue, that not all the clicks are getting counted?
I honestly have believed that all clicks are not being counted. Of course I could be wrong, but you never know.
My server stats show same or average impressions even for the past 5 days, and clicks counted by ypn on the 11th is not even half of any of the past 5 days clicks, there is NO way we got credit for a lot of clicks. Who knows how many days this whole months or past week, the system has been losing or not detecting clicks.
I am running YPN on over 50 sites and use a tracking script that records each click and can state that they are counting all, or close to all, clicks (within 2% on thousands of daily clicks). There has been a drop in revenue, but this appears to be from: a) An overall drop in payouts (some sites have not been affected). b) Ad blocking is not working anymore, resulting in non-relevant ads. c) Advertisers have been advised to geo-target in titles i.e. "Plastic Surgeon - Texas", which is resulting in a lower click through rate on some sites. While YPN appears to still be paying, on average, more per click - these changes have resulted in a lower CTR than adsense and I have converted some sites back to Adsense which results in a higher payout because of the CTR being higher. It's a free market - YPN can pay whatever they want - and I can choose between google or YPN based on results.
Whenever they have issues like this, they always seem to pay us back with a day or two of extremely high revenue (just like last Friday). So I'm not really worrying about it. I'm pretty sure the last two days of low revenue haven't had anything to do with advertisers dropping out, because almost everyone seems to be complaining about it =/
I was up until 5AM the other morning and I found out my acount had like $10 but by morning it had only $25 in. So from 12AM to 1AM PST it was like a lot of money but it slowly started going down hill so I don't know what's going on but it seems it should have been higher then $25.
I have had the same experince as S2X. When ever they update it seems like I skyrocket. So I hope this update does the same. I do find it funny however whenever there are low payouts there seems to be an update.
it hink a big thing that is hurting people and not jsut me is no ad blocking!! as this gets me some unrelevant ads or competion which inturn makes my $$$ less maybe the update will change that!
I think with mine they are going to have to really give me some great earnings since mine has been really bad for almost 3 weeks now.
yup, same here. We need to keep a running tally as to how often they get "stuck" just for shi*s and giggles. Contrary to what some say, when they come out of Beta, it will be no different IMO.
