Stats problems today?

    Hi there,

I just want to double check with you guys if you are experiencing a HUGE DROP today? The page impression seems to be just fine, but the clicks don't seem to follow...

My stats are usually very stable so that's why I find it extremely weird, it goes further than just a bad day...

I also noticed a drop today, not sure if it's stat related or weekend related... :/

I'm not talking about a drop of traffic, but an in consistence with stats. Traffic is ok for me...It's really just weird stats.

I haven't really noticed a difference. However, I recently took almost all of the ads
off of my site and dropped them down to just one ad unit, so I wouldn't be able to
    help you out anyway.

If you're not seeing a change in traffic, and your stats seem 'weird,' then simply wait
a few days. See if things go back to 'normal.' If they don't, come back again and we'll
try to help you out. That's probably your best bet man.

My traffic is down to less than 50%, CTR down to less than 50%, and eCPM down to about 20% of normal, even for weekend. I suspect I've dropped way out of the Google page results, but have no real way of measuring this satisfactorily. Hope that things will come right, I made massive changes last night when I first noticed this - duplicated description tags, duplicate titles, etc all fixed. Hopefully that sorts it....

I always advise against making "massive change" when you see a drop in stats. Give it some time. Review your site, note potential problem areas.

Then if you find after a few weeks your stats don't bounce back... You can start to slowly implement your changes. Wait and watch. Slowly implement a few more.

Too many changes at once make it hard to know what makes things better or potentially worse!

That said, however, I do agree with "fixing" obvious problems such as those you stated, and I don't think fixes can hurt you. It is when folks get fancy (creative) with SEO tricks that you can start to see mixed results...

    Just my 2 cents!

Thanks, that looks useful, but it says I'm not found in Google for the keywords I tried, but when I follow the Google link I'm #1 or on the first page often. What am I missing? ;)

My stats were buggy yesterday. My earnings were reporting 1/20 of usual until the last few hours of the day, all of the clicks suddenly appeared. :p

I noticed a similar thing yesterday
Same number of visitors but CTR dramatically down

Then at night the clicks started coming through

    Strange

If I remember correctly.. yesterday Adsense was down for maintenance so that is probably why you noticed that.
