Stats doesnt make sense

My nation wide plumbing website has the same number of visits from the US during the night hours as it does during the day.
It just doesn't make sense- I expected to see less visits during the night than during the day, but in fact, the ratio is about 49% at night, and 51% at daytime (night= midnight NY time until midday 12:00 NY time).
I can imagine proper explanation for such type of visits in other fields (for example- gaming industry, adult etc) But plumbing? home improvement? I cant think of anything to support those figures.
I'd love to here some theories.

what do you use for traffic analysis? If server logs, than you may be looking at the bots (for example google bot) crawling and indexing your site, why should they care if it is night or day?
