Static sites are not getting click without other activity -

I have been working with clickbank fro a few years now and have never had a problem till now.

In the past I have always checked or added more landing pages daily. I always had very good traffic and plenty of sales. I most recently started developing a new product so I didn't have time to add and new sites or landing pages. I thought I would be ok because I had so many other site running promotions, so I did not even check stats for the past few months. A few days ago I checked on all my site and they still had very active traffic but when I checked my clickbank account I found my traffic in hops had completely dropped to near nothing which was very strange. So my site traffic actually increased over time and my hop counts and sales dropped to near nothing, but why. I checked every thing I could think of and could not find anything wrong. After looking back at my clickbank stats, this drop in hop traffic happened about 3 days after I started my project and stop creating landing pages. Wicked crazy with no answers ....

This morning I decided to create a few articles and landing pages. Well this afternoon my stats are all back to normal and sales are back up. Somathing is VERY wrong about that. I'm sure I have been screwed some how. There is no reason for this to happen. It's almost like if your not checking on your account daily and actively adding content links you will not get sales credit or hop stats. Who knows... we may all be selling three or four time more then we're getting credit for.

Right now I'm fairly pissed off about the whole thing...

The same thing happened to my adsense account parked domains. I had 30 active domains with adsence and 47 parked domains with adsense. Both were getting extreme traffic. I removed the adsense code form all 30 active site to implement a new adsense tracking program and my parked domain traffic dropped to 0 (zero) in one day. It is all a f...in scam making someone rich in the end. We are no more then traffic slaves if you not directly involved 24/7.

.... your situation can't prove that clickbank and adsense steal away your sales just because you didn't login daily. That sounds ridiculous... Anyway, goodluck! :)

well, you didn't use the word "steal" . But the way you express it is like indirectly saying that your sales are stolen?

DO NOT make up what you think it should read. Read the post and understand what is says, attempt to help or share a similar story. That is the way we work around here. If you continue to provide ignorant translations or make statements you can not back you will find yourself posting alone or suspended.

Well there is a offense. If you have nothing better to say and thing my post was like a clown just move on as you should have been taught already. If you have nothing better to say always say nothing is what that means in case you did not understand.

I used to get annoyed at this kind of thing when I started out, Now I am pretty sure its just normal for sales to go up and down.

I'm sorry for the confusion for those trying to help. I must not have been very clear with my problem because replies are not related to the problem directly.

I do understand the fluctuation of sales however that was not the purpose for this post. I will try later to better explain why this post exist.

Perhaps a large amount of your traffic is repeat visitors...?

They come back to your site looking for new content, and there is none, so they leave without clicking anything.

However, when you add new content, they read it and start clicking links again.

Have sales been majorly affected as well as hops? Because when you make new content it will get crawled by all sorts of bots who will then go through the hops and if clickbank do not recognise them as bots then they will treat them as hops.

Honestly, the only thing I will say is that I've never heard anyone complain about Clickbank's hop tracking. Sometimes people wonder about commissions being "lost", but CB pretty much has to track hops properly as those are easy for anyone to trace separately.

The fact that you said both hops AND sales are down tells me that this isn't a Clickbank issue...

Due to a complete misunderstanding in meaning of what has happened and the reason for this post. I have asked for this thread to be closed or locked. Either way I will no longer take part because I can have no other way to make my point clear as stated earlier today.

    Take care, Later!

The traffic you get to your site depends on factors that include:

    1. the number of competing products that are being launched on clickbank. Remember that if more people are now selling products in the same niche like yours, your traffic will drop

    2. the commission percentage you are offering. If others are offering better, affiliates will move to those ones.

    3. the quality of your salespage. If your competitors have better salespages, affiliates will shift over to them
