static page, blog on the side?

    I need a theme or someone to help explain how to edit a theme to include a main static page, but also have the software work as a blog by showing the latest blog posts (titles/links) in the sidebar.

    Any help?

    For me I would pick a theme that uses static pages as part of the design. Check out Brian Gardner's revolutiontheme.com. He combines static pages and wordpress.
