    Hi guys

I want to get your opinons on the real value of static links and dynamic links. They say dynamic links are not as valuable as static links so I am wondering why so many people do flood article submission since most of those 1 way links are dynamic.

Has anyone actually seen a consistent increase in flow of traffic or rankings after submitting a lot of articles.

Any experiences or ideas would be great.

    Eric

article links are typically static not dynamic.

if they use redirects for the links then you get no benefit other than traffic.

A lot of the article directories have ID no's like 23456 or something like that at the end of the URL. So this is static not dynamic????

dynamic pages are different than dynamic links.

dynamic pages like article-name-35353.php is fine.

it is only fine when your link on the article you submitted is not www.yourdomain.com but instead redirect.php?url=yourdomain.com

    that is the difference :)

hope that explains things. always like to share.

I am quite new to SEO and am looking to learn. I have severasl websites, soem with dynamic and some with static pages.

I hear some people say they don't want a link from dynamic pages because they do less well in serps. My own experience from a dynamic website I launched less than 4 months ago is that I have several pages now showing on Google page 1 for competitive keywords - even though pages are only pr1 and quite new..

So dynamic pages can not be that bad?

    Thoughts?

Well dynamic links are much more and static links are usually less. You can use a nice script and it pop out 10k pages but static usually have to do by each one. But I think if you do get both, it's still valuable for both type of links to help you increase your link popularity

I think you're talking about dynamic pages, while this thread is about incoming links from dynamic vs static pages.
