Hi, I am led to believe that static keyword urls are better than dynamic urls. E.g, www.mydomain.com/cars/parts/brake_discs/product_1 is better than www.mydomain.com/subcategory.asp?sid=15 However, my web master is advising me that it will cost me £600 for them to configure my URL's from dynamic to static so that each time I add a new product to my ecommerce store it will be given a static URL This seems a lot of money to me, what are your thoughts? Thanks Jimbob
What software are you using for your e-commerce? It may have a module readily available in order to help convert your URL's to static ones
Hi, I am not sure, my web design company keeps things close to their chest and just tell me it will cost me £600. Jimbob
plus you cant have both the urls live, only one of them preferably http://www.mydomain.com/cars/parts/b...iscs/product_1 or www.mydomain.com/subcategory.asp?sid=15
set up a thread/post in the 'services'/trade section asking for a rate to convert dynamic asp pages into static for optimization purpose
Thats WAY WAY WAY overpriced, like mistnee said, make a thread in the BST section, and you'll save a lot of money.
