    hi,

I heard, using of Dynamic IP address, your web site will not rank high on search engine results. In some other blogs, having a website on a shared IP address will not cause you any harm and there is nothing negative about hosting on shared IP's.

Search Engine spiders can effectively crawl websites with static IPs.Your web site will rank high on search engine results, if you use static ip.

I need more information, is there any problem with dynamic ip?. Most of the sites are using dynamic ip.

As long as the "dynamic IP address" is "shared hosting" where the IP address does not change, then I have never seen a negative.

    But, it is highly recommended.

And all of our sites/clients' are on "shared hosting" and we rank with the best.

Just one thing, there are many low end shared hosting companies that turn their services off at night to save on costs. This will kill a site faster than anything. The IP address MUST be up 24/7/365 or Google will look down on it or even stop indexing it.

If you have the classical shared hosting with companies like hostgator and co.... then you will be assigned a static IP address that will be common to all websites hosted on that same sever. As long as you are not interlinking the domains under the same IP, you will not have any problems with google.
So shared hosting doesn't mean dynamic IP.
Google refers to the IP addresses of websites when ranking them and if they find that your website has a dynamic IP that changes all the time (happens for example when the hosting company turns the servers off and then on as catanich said), then you bet, you are going to be penalized for it.
If you knew somebody in the real world that changes his home each couple of days, wouldn't you think that there is something fishy with him or at least some problem? Would you trust him as you do with your neighbour that has been there for the last 10 years?
    It's the same with google.

    I hope I could help,

    Houcem
