I was flipping through channels on TV this afternoon and stumbled on an old TV show that I used to watch as a kid: The Thunderbirds. Back then (in Video's Dark Ages) this was pretty cool animation in the form of puppets in rockets: https://www.youtube.com/embed/wDX5Mlz46Vg LOL, that got me thinking about another old-time (though highly innovative for its time) animated form of kids' show called Clutch Cargo. This was a cartoon except that the mouth of the character was actually a filmed human mouth superimposed on the cartoon character's face: https://www.youtube.com/embed/RbBy0S9OwJs This is a long clip, but you will see the superimposed mouth effect after about 35 seconds into it. Anyway, I was remembering how we young kids back then thought that the above animations were magical versus what CGI/animation offers these days. And, yes, I am older than dirt...
