Statcounter shows hits, but Adsense doesn't?

    I just woke up and checked the stats on a site I've really been working on. My statcounter.com account shows 91 uniques yesterday and already 207 today, which I was VERY excited about. But, my adsense account doesn't even show the channel in my earnings, like I haven't even had 1 impression.

    Is it possible that all of those hits were bots that don't run javascript? No JS = no impressions on AdSense (or Analytics or any other JS dependent construct on your page) is my understanding.

    Having used adsense for almost a year I can tell you this is going to happen all the time. Forever now statcounter will report something like 70 hits and adsense will only show 9.

    Google counts in a very special way.

    Statcounter itself is a Javascript so that would not be the case - otherwise it would not count the visits in question.

    I viewed your source code and your channels are properly included and displayed. You say they are not "included in your earnings" -- that's possible. If you are getting no clicks from your visitors the channel will not show under "top channels". You will have to go to "view all Adsense for content channels" to see those impressions. I think you will find your missing impressions there?

    If someone blocked google ads on their pc then the hits will be counted in statcounter not in adsense account. But not sure since you say you got 91 uniques.

    And also, if you are refreshing a page more than once statcounter will add those impressions to count but not adsense.

    Make sure you give a full 24 hours before comparing stats. Google does a pretty good job of displaying "live" info, but the reality is the real numbers are not processed until the very end of the day.

    Check the same thing tomorrow for the days you are questioning and see if anything has changed.

    Hey, may be last night google works on adsense program and went offline, so that also cause problems to your site and me too amazed of mine..

    I don't trust StatCounter at all. They highly overestimate uniques and underestimate page views for me.
