Statcounter shows AdSense click inaccuracies?

I have been observing this issue for over the past month or two now.

I have found that Statcounter will show AdSense clicks in the "exit link
activity" area. However, not all of these clicks are being shown by AdSense.

    Three Theories

    1) Maybe it's the AdSense link units being clicked, and then the user simply
doesn't click the ad on the second page where they actually appear? In turn,
Statcounter is tracking the click and AdSense is not. ---> I took link units off of
my page, and found that ad units were still getting clicked and tracked by
    Statcounter, but not by AdSense.
    This theory - FAIL

    2) AdSense takes time to update their stats- Sure. But not one months time. --->
Statcounter shows that my new acne site has around 10 clicks over the past
24 hours, and a few clicks over the time of launch which was about a week
or two ago. However, AdSense has only counted 1 click total. No! I don't
click my own ads. Trust me. I've been with AdSense for a year and a half. I
know how to make money with the program without having to cheat.
    This theory - FAIL

    3) Invalid clicks / High bounce rate for advertiser ---> It could be that
Statocounter is tracking clicks that are raised red flag / invalid by AdSense.
And this could be the case, however, wouldn't you think that out of the last
20 or so clicks I have had on my acne site, more than one of them would be
valid? Again, I don't click my own ads, nor do any of my friends / family.
    This theory - POSSIBLE

What's going on here then? I know Google wouldn't ever steal from their
publishers, and I am sure that whatever they're doing is in the advertiser's
best interest. However, an explanation to why this is happening would be
    helpful.

    [UPDATE]
Been browsing the web and it seems like many other people are having the same issue
as of recent weeks. See this links ---> HERE

Yeah. I don't really know what's going on. I guess it's just something
we'll have to deal with. I wonder if JenSense knows anything regarding
the issue? I'll have to head over to her site and ask.

I understand at the most, 25% of clicks not being valid. But the last 21 out
of 22 of my clicks haven't counted.... This just isn't right...
