Stat Counter Shows Adsense Clicks, but not registered in Adsense?

Hello - I have a site that I checked my Stat Counter for, and I saw that I had 2 visitors in the last 24 hours that clicked an Adsense ad and that was their "exit" link from my site, but the click did not register in Adsense - does anyone know why that would happen? I had clicks from other sites register ...

I checked my ad impressions for that channel and it is a little less than what my Stat Counter shows for page views ... any thoughts?

The problem is statcounter not adsense try another method of tracking the clicks. So many people have posted the same type thread on here before about this.

I think statcounter just makes up half it's stats.

A few reasons. Statcounter is not always accurate. Another reason is that the clicks are invalid, probably the visitors did not wait for the webpage to load.

One reason I have found is that Statcounter can track only certain types of adsense (I think they are called link units and do not take you to any specific web site other than a list of web sites provided by google relevant to the link that was clicked) . Hope that makes sense.
